इतिहास ;- प्रारम्भमा ३२ जना विधार्थीहरु भर्ना गरि गाउँका बुद्धिजीवी क्षेत्र बहादुर लामाको सक्रियतामा विद्यालयको स्थापना ।
विद्यालयको बारेमाः- नेपालको सुदुरपश्चिम प्रदेश अन्तर्गत पर्ने चारवटा जिल्ला मध्ये तराई प्रदेशमा पर्ने एक कञ्चनपुर जिल्लाको दक्षिणी विभागमा अवस्थित पुनर्वास न.पा. रहेको वडा नं.३,रामबस्तीमा रहेको श्री गोरखा आधारभूत विद्यालय २०३७ साल फाल्गुन ५ गतेको शुभ दिनमा गाउँको मध्य भागमा स्थापना भएको हो। तत्कालिन श्री ५ को सरकारले नेपाल पुनर्वास कम्पनीद्धारा विभिन्न भागहरुबाट बाढी पिडीत तथा सुकुम्बासीहरुलाई व्यवस्थित रुपले बसोबास गराउनका निम्ति जंगल फडानी गरी वि.स.२०३६ सालमा जनमत संग्रहको परिणाम पछि लगत्तै यस पुनर्वास क्षेत्रमा बस्ती बसालिएको थियो ।त्यसैको फलवरुप देशका विभिन्न जातजाति ,धर्म र संस्कृतिका जनसमुदायको वासस्थान रहेको पाइन्छ । वि.स.२०३७ सालमा गाउँमा बुद्धिजिवी शिक्षाप्रेमी सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता तथा गाउँका सबै तह र तप्काका समुदायको शिक्षा प्रतिको सकारात्मक दृष्टिकोण तथा सशक्त प्रयासको फलस्वरुप विद्यालय स्थापना गरि अध्यापन कार्य सञ्चालन गर्न भू.पू.विद्यालय समिति अध्यक्ष एवं संस्थापक श्री क्षेत्र बहादुर लामाको सक्रियतामा अध्ययन र अध्यापन कार्य सञ्चालन भएको थियो । प्रारम्भमा ३२ जना विद्यार्थीहरु भर्ना भएको यस विद्यालयमा हाल जनसंख्या र जनचेतना कारण तथा अन्य स्थानबाट बसाईसराई गरी यस क्षेत्रमा आउने कार्य निरन्तर रुपमा भईरहेकोले वि.स.२०६५।०६६ को समयमा विधार्थी संख्या उल्लेख्य मात्रामा रहेको देखिन्छ । वि.स. २०३७ सालमा स्विकृत दरबन्दी प्राप्त गरी २०४१ साल कक्षा ५ सम्मको स्थायी स्विकृती प्राप्त गरिसकेपछि यस विद्यालय शैक्षिक क्षेत्रमा आफ्नो स्तर उच्च राख्न सफल भएको छ । वि.स. २०६१ सालमा यहाँका चेतनशील समुदाय शिक्षा प्रेमी विद्यालय व्यवस्थापन समिति तथा शिक्षक कर्मचारीहरुको प्रयासबाट यस विद्यालयलाई प्रा.वि.बाट नि.मा.वि .मा परिणत गराइएको पाइयो । हाल यस विद्यालयबाट अध्ययन गरि गएका विद्यार्थीहरु विभिन्न क्षेत्रमा सफलता प्राप्त गरेको पाइन्छन् । हाल यस विद्यालयमा बाल कक्षा देखि कक्षा ८ सम्म पठन पाठन सञ्चालन भइरहेको छ। विगतमा यस विद्यालयमा अध्ययन गरि गएका विद्यार्थीहरुले आ-आफ्नो क्षेत्रमा उल्लेखनिय सफलता हासिल गरेको देखिन्छ ।
History: Established through the active initiation of local intellectual Kshetra Bahadur Lama with an initial enrollment of 32 students.
Shree Gorkha Basic School is located in Rambasti, Ward No. 3 of Punarwas Municipality—situated in the southern part of Kanchanpur district, one of the four districts in the Terai region of Nepal's Sudurpashchim Province. It was established on the auspicious day of Falgun 5, 2037 BS (February 17, 1981) right in the middle of the village.
Following the referendum results in 2036 BS, the erstwhile government of His Majesty's Government through the Nepal Punarwas Company cleared forests to systematically resettle flood victims and landless people from various parts of the country. As a result, this Punarwas area became a settlement for diverse communities representing different castes, religions, and cultures.
In 2037 BS, driven by the positive educational outlook and strong efforts of local intellectuals, education lovers, social activists, and all community strata, the school was established under the active leadership of former School Management Committee Chairperson and Founder Mr. Kshetra Bahadur Lama to begin teaching and learning activities.
Initially starting with 32 students, the school saw a significant growth in student enrollment around 2065/2066 BS due to rising population, growing educational awareness, and continuous migration to the area from elsewhere. After receiving an approved teaching quota in 2037 BS and permanent approval up to grade 5 in 2041 BS, the school successfully elevated its educational standards.
In 2061 BS, through the persistent efforts of conscious community members, education enthusiasts, the school management committee, and teachers/staff, the primary school was upgraded to a lower secondary school. Today, students who graduated from this institution have achieved success in various fields. Currently, the school conducts classes ranging from Early Childhood Development (ECD/Bal Kaksha) up to Grade 8.
